Go Back Home – Stop-motion Animation about a Koala’s Journey

Go Back Home is an original stop-motion animation piece. The animation features a small koala who brought to the city by his “owner” and eager to find his way back home.

The scenes are based in Pudong district (The finance district), Shanghai and West Lake, Hangzhou.

I find West Lake a magical place that gives people a natural feeling in the center of a large city. I use this piece to illustrate a desire to get close to the natural world while living in large cities.

I use Garageband to create the original soundtrack for the animation as well.
