Collab with LEGO to build better experience for factory workers

🔍 Background

While listening to the Finding Our Way podcast, I was inspired by an episode featuring Rebecca Nordstrom, LEGO’s Head of Digital Design for Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Her insights resonated deeply, as I’ve been supporting a ServiceNow product area focused on enhancing digital experiences in the manufacturing sector. Motivated by this connection, I reached out to Rebecca, which led to an exciting collaboration between LEGO and ServiceNow.

In September, we hosted a joint online fireside chat exploring the philosophy of designing for the manufacturing floor. The event attracted over 70 participants from more than five different product teams at ServiceNow, all working on experiences related to the manufacturing shop floor.

In November, our product team visited LEGO’s factory onsite. During this visit, we gathered direct design feedback from their team and collaborated on ideas to enhance the future product experience for shop floor workers.

This partnership not only deepened cross-industry insights but also laid the groundwork for impactful innovations that improve manufacturing workflows.
